OCTAV is a medical imaging system developed by DAMAE Medical which allows to detect skin cancer in a non-invasive way. Thanks to an innovative technique, OCTAV recreates a picture of tissue by directly scanning the patient. These images will then allow to diagnose without a biopsy.

 

A painless method reassuring for patients and a true time saver for doctors, this medical device is the first to really restructure the process of diagnosis and tumor ablations.

 

Our challenge:

Pulse & Pulpe designed the aesthetic and ergonomic of this device. The mechanism and kinematics of the products were studied in collaboration with the technical consultants CD Plast. Our challenge was to combine design and mechanics to create a formal and graphic harmony. Respecting the medical universe and its codes, OCTAV's design is functional, intuitive, safe and non-anxious for the patients.
